Camping Flinders Island

Camping Killiecrankie, North West Flinders Island. This is a relatively small, private campground accessible from the main road to Killiecrankie by turning to the right down a narrow gravel road just before the day-use area at Killiecrankie. To book a campsite at this privately owned camping area, call Jude on 03 6359 8464. There is a free gas BBQ on the Killiecrankie foreshore day-use only area. At the day-use area, facilities include picnic tables, freshwater, and public toilets and shower. Killiecrankie beach occupies the southern corner of the bay, at the end of Killiecrankie Road and that will take you around 45-minutes to get to from Whitemark. Killiecrankie beach commences near the low granite rock and to the lee of Nobby Rock and curves to the east for app. 800 metres to the mouth of Killiecrankie Creek. Waves are very low to calm in the western corner, increasing to about 1 metre at the creek mouth making this a relatively safe bay for swimming and fishing. The western end of the beach is used for launching small boats and several fishing boats are usually moored off the beach. Pets are allowed at this private campground. When camping at Killiecrankie, make sure you find time to hire equipment and search for a Killiecrankie Diamond. Camping Flinders Island Killiecrankie Suggested Camping Itinerary Flinders Island
